Staff

Coach Dog, Inc. is directed by Joy Jacobs Willison, a licensed mental health counselor who has been working with children in Florida since 1996. She has worked in several different settings including schools, community mental health, a psychiatric hospital and private practice.

She holds a BS in Child Development from The Ohio State University and an MS in Education and Counseling from the University of Dayton.

About The Coach

Coach is an 85 pound golden retriever mix. He and Joy met each other at a local animal shelter four years ago. She promised him an endless supply of children and school cafeteria food and he agreed to come home with her. Since then, he has logged over 4,000 volunteer hours and worked with hundreds of children.

Coach is a certified therapy pet with Love on A Leash and holds a specialist degree in Special Education.
